RN Unit Manager Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation and Nursing is looking for a day shift RN Unit Manager whose primary duties are to plan, organize, develop and supervise the nursing activities on their 40 bed long term unit.
The RN Unit Manager plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience.
In this role, you will assume responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to facilitate and deliver comprehensive quality nursing care.
Essential Functions:
1.
Ensures that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained.
2.
Ensures that a safe and effective resident care environment is maintained at all times.
3.
Supervisory Responsibilities 4.
Assists in planning, organizing, directing, supervising and evaluating all nursing services provided in the facility to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
5.
Assist in ensuring that facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
6.
Assists in ensuring necessary equipment, supplies, and staffing are available for the delivery of the prescribed resident/patient care.
7.
Completes rounds of their unit to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations.
8.
Receives and handles family and resident complaints.
9.
Assists in ensuring customer service standards for the nursing department.
10.
Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy and dignity.
10.
Attends various weekly meetings pertaining to their unit and staff 11.
Monitoring the overall function of your unit 24/7 Requirements/
Qualifications:
o Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience and in long-term care setting preffered.
Licensed in NYS as a Registered Nurse o Compassion and desire to work with geriatric population.
