Job DescriptionThe Candidate needs to have good Accounting knowledge, be tech savvy, passionate about innovation and have excellent problem solving skills.
Good interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders is a key requirement.
The candidate should be able to clearly articulate change requirements for developers and be meticulous around documenting processes.
Candidate should be able to identify and propose solutions that will sustainably solve the breaks, improve processes and introduce efficiencies for the team.
Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking is a beneficial competency for the role.
Having Investment Banking products' knowledge as well as accounting knowledge is a bonus.
The overall purpose of the job is the day to day ownership of various project and process improvements around the team including the following:
Provide daily BAU support to the Markets, Treasury, Banking and Corporate businesses, with support for Odyssey, Pegasus, Apollo, RTFM and LUM Communication of system outages with ongoing updates regarding ETA for resolution Production of MI on a monthly basis, tracking issues with Root cause analysis and description of issue remediation, sign-off stats and system delays Drive change requests / projects initiated by users Liaising with team members and stakeholders in understanding their processes and change requirements to identify additional enhancements that can be made to the system to introduce efficiencies and improve the user experience understanding system and process flows and translating this into business requirements for a developer including thorough documentation of processes and data flows Collaborate with and influence stakeholders around delivery on projects through clear communication to stakeholders and managing stakeholder expectations Share knowledge more widely with stakeholders and assist where possible with process and system understanding and data sourcing Control environment - Identify activity-specific risks and control gaps and work with Process Owner / Process Architect to mitigate risks/close control gaps Apply the highest standards of controls and risk management practices and behaviors and embed a positive risk and control culture.
Demonstration of prudence, sound judgement and appropriate and timely escalations in the management of all types of risk applicable Identify key issues, with the ultimate aim of producing timely & accurate Management Information Understanding/Experience in the Financial Services Industry Education and Experience Required o NQF Level 7 - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting o Must have at least 2-3 years relevant Working Experience o Ability to compare information from number of different sources Education Bachelor s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
